I am selling an original M39 tornister. This iconic model of pack with its cowhide covered rear flap was introduced in 1939 and issued to soldiers who were also issued Y-straps. The M34 tornister would continue to be produced and issued to soldiers who did not get Y-straps. It is distinguishable in that it does not have the pack straps on the back, but rather short hooks to clip to Y-straps. There is also a leather strap on the back as this pack was designed to also carry the smaller A-frame “assault pack”.
This particular pack lacks the back hooks although these are easily sourced. It does feature a name possibly of a solider. It is in worn but good condition.
This particular pack is notable in that it was made in German occupied Warsaw…a rarer variant.
I would like $100 on this plus shipping.
