I am selling a restored Polish Wz. 31 helmet. This is not one of the replicas that recently hit the market but rather an immediate postwar Polish Wz. 31/50 helmet shell that has been restored to 1930s configuration.
It features a faithful replication of the regulation “Salamandra” anti-reflective paint finish. First primed with lighter brown paint, then covered in a heavy lead tetroxide texturing and finally painted a dark green. Paint has been nicely weathered to simulate wear.
What is neat about this is that unlike a reproduction shell made from mild steel, this is based on an actual ballistic helmet with proper protective qualities.
Regulation leather three-pad liner with metal band clip style chinstrap.
