Original refurbished World War I Imperial German Army M16 stahlhelm with replicated 1918 lozenge pattern camouflage influenced by the cubist movement of the era.
This is an original World War I vintage production shell that has been refurbished with new paint feldgrau paint with camouflage pattern applied over. Five color variant of the 1918 geometric shape camouflage including dark and medium green, yellow ochre, sandy brown and dark brown with regulation black lines separating the colors. The paint has been artificially weathered to show apparent use.
This helmet a reproduction 1916 pattern liner with a leather band and three leather pads as well as a replica leather M1895 pickelhaube chinstrap.
This helmet is an ET64 best fitting a size 56 or 57 head. Made by Eisenhüttenwerke – Thale. Shell appears to be clean under the paint and with no signs of bondo, pitting or damage. Great for reenacting or to fit that niche in your collection. SOLD
